Youth Group
We have two main groups of youth that join together for special events at least once a month. Our “Inbetweeners” group of sixth and seventh grade students meets on Wednesday evenings, and our “812 Youth Group” of eighth to twelfth grade students meets on Sunday evenings. From games to art to Bible study to service projects, we do it all. We are a small youth group with lots of quirky personalities and we love to make new friends!
Events
The Warm Heart Youth participate in lots of service projects together. Once a month we pack weekend food bags for school kids with the Backpack Program at the Meridian Food Bank, and each winter we host the Veterans Foot Locker Drive before Christmas. We also enjoy putting together cards or care packages for various groups and holding Random Acts of Kindness nights around town.
Twice a year, we head out of town! Our Winter Retreat in February features lots of snow, and our service/mission trips in the summer have us working and serving alongside other youth groups from around the United States. In 2025, we’ll be heading to the Rosebud Sioux reservation in South Dakota to serve with Group Mission Trips.
We are also forming connections across the Oregon-Idaho conference! Our youth leader is part of a collaborative planning team dedicated to helping youth and their leaders connect around their faith. All our youth are invited to participate in an annual retreat with others from around the conference.
